Car Rentals

NY Stewart partners with a select number of car rental companies to assist with your vehicle rentals.

A rental car can be reserved in advance online with one of our partner rental car companies or you can check availability once you arrive. To pick up your rental, head to your rental car company counter. Rental counters are on the first level across from security and baggage claim.

If you are returning your rental car, follow the rental car signs to the appropriate rental car company lot upon arriving at the airport. Remember to refuel your car before returning it. There are gas stations opens in a new tab conveniently located within four miles of the airport for your refueling needs.

After you drop off your rental, proceed to the terminal to get ready for your flight.

New York State uses cashless tolling, so tolls are billed electronically. Check with your rental car company to understand their toll payment policy. Some agencies offer E‑ZPass® transponder tags. If you receive one, be sure you understand how it works, including any associated fees or charges. The rental company may also apply an administrative fee for toll usage.

If your rental car company does not provide a transponder, or if you choose not to use theirs, you have two options:

• Pay by Plate: The tolls will be billed to you later by the rental company.
• Use your own E‑ZPass transponder.

If you use your personal transponder, do not add the rental car’s license plate to your E‑ZPass account.
